Introduction
Eco-Construct Marine Flotation Systems (ECMFS) Nig. Ltd (RC No: 1879101) is a company duly registered under the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to provide lightweight building construction and marine-related services. The company is wholly Nigerian owned and was incorporated under the companies and allied matters Act 2020 on the 4th day of January 2022. ECMFS is affiliated with two long established companies, one of which specializes in lightweight building construction (Eco-Building Systems Nig. Ltd) and the other provides offshore marine logistics services to the International Oil Companies (Fymak Marine & Oil Services Nig. Ltd) operating within the Gulf of Guinea.
With almost two decades of work experience in both the construction and maritime industries, the founding director, Mr. Okey Nwakwesi, came to the realization that in order to achieve the overall long-term objectives of sustained growth in both core competencies, it would be vital to develop capacity in the field of marine vessel construction as well as the deployment of innovative concrete flotation systems for development of shorelines and inland water bodies.

Vessel Construction
The West African sub-region remains a hub for coastal and deep offshore maritime activity in the continent of Africa.
Driven mainly by offshore Oil and Gas exploration/production activities and the region's dependency on imported commodities. Furthermore, the abundant aquatic life in the temperate Atlantic ocean is fertile fishing grounds for the industry operators. With the advent of Nigeria's Deep Blue project to combat insecurity off the West African coast, it is fair to anticipate an uptick in leisure deep sea boating especially during the periods where the sea swells are relatively calm.
Currently, the utilization of inland water routes for movement of dry bulk and liquid cargo is yet to be fully harnessed, and so this presents a challenge for which ECMFS Shipyard would be proud to be a part of the solution by providing locally-constructed fit-for-purpose marine assets that incorporate cutting edge technology thus creating jobs and helping to turn the corner on the present-day trajectory of the Nigerian economy.
